Terrible. This guy’s quitting smoking book made some sort of sense even though it was brainwashing as is this one. This was laughable how completely full of &%#@ he is. He tries to convince us that the only food we should eat is fruit with an occasional veggie and some nuts. Even peeling a fruit is processing it and that’s forbidden. Oh hey!, did you know that big cats (lions, tigers) don’t really *want* to eat meat, they only do because that’s what they can get. And when they hunt and catch another animal the first thing they do is eat the stomach because that’s where all the good stuff (veggies) are? It makes no sense! If the gazelle could find the vegetation why can’t the lion? It’s just silly. The only reason I kept reading it is I was wondering where he was going with it (um, to the moon), and it was fun to tell my friends what I was reading so that we could laugh at it and poke holes in every one of his theories. Ended up being a comedy. Unless the brainwashing worked on you.

It reads like he wrote one chapter then regurgitated it 20 times. You’ll constantly be flipping back through pages asking yourself “didn’t I already read that sentence before?”

To begin with, I am irritated by the negative reviews of this book. They are baseless, the people who wrote them obviously were not open minded when they read the book. They are probably somewhere looking for clothes large enough to hold their mass.

The book has helped me tremendously. In my mind it is groundbreaking material because of the way it’s presented. You should have success with this book if you read it with an open mind and follow all of the directions. I have been enjoying my fruit for breakfast and I feel great almost all of the time. I hope some other readers will provide accurate reviews of this book so that it can help a greater number of people.

I wish anyone reading my review the best on their journey to a healthier, thinner future.

Let me preface this with the fact that I am a huge supporter of Allen Carr. I quit smoking and drinking w/ his books, and although I don’t really have a huge weight problem, I was compelled to at least check out easyweigh. As a a result of this book (and others) I have managed to lose about 15lbs and feel better than ever. Had I never read Allen Carr’s other books, I don’t think this book would have done much for me on it’s own. Yes… Easyweigh is quite bonkers at times. It is unfortunate that Easyweigh was not developed further because it did have a lot of potential…. it’s almost as if he had run out of steam. Unfortunately, there is too much ranting and disconnected and incomplete thoughts throughout. However, since I am familar w/ the ways of Carr, I could pick and choose the gems of wisdom that do in fact exist. I would still recommened checking the book out, especially if are familiar with Easyway in general. Easyweigh is certainly not strong enough to stand on its own as a guide to better nutrition, but is great supplemental tool and worth every penny. Good Luck!

Allen Carr had a way of changing the attitudes between your ears. He kills old thinking and helps replace the old with new more productive ways of viewing the world and our challenges.
